Work —

2017 – 2019

For the last two years I’ve worked on Bitbucket, a Git based code hosting and collaboration tool, in close-knit product triads to build features focussed on our customers’ needs while aligning on strategic initiatives.

The teams using Bitbucket are large in size with varying demands on the product from their users ranging from expert SysAdmins through to brand new developers. While plenty of tasks relate to the core product experience of code collaboration in Bitbucket, there is an ever-growing need for a scalable and performant platform that extends beyond the boundaries of the product and into other Atlassian tools or market leading integrations.

My role as designer on our team spans across the entire product lifecycle – I’ve been involved in vision-setting, running research to dive deeper into problem spaces, rapid prototyping and usability testing, all the way through to visualizing UI and working with our developers to ship those polished designs.
